Bluetooth Speaker Teardown and Repair - Zealot S61

Just a short post showing how to open a Zealot S61 bluetooth speaker to repair the board.

Had to do that after dropping mine and breaking the USB connector loose from the board. But couldn't find a teardown on the inter-pipes, so here we are.

Note that accessing the battery and speaker would take more disassembly steps, but that wasn't necessary here.

FYI, in case it helps someone else take the S61 apart.

Happy repairs to all !

And the coconut is finally open:

Zoom on the connectors:

The USB data pads had been stripped off, so hair-like wires were soldered directly on the PCB traces, thanks to my Superman zoom vision and a small soldering iron tip:

Kidding, had to use these sexy 3.5X magnifying glasses of course... 😍

Connector repaired:

And c'est fini, the party was back in full swing: "there's a hole in the roof, even goats coming through..."
